Matthew James Cutmore pleaded guilty to one count of driving with a high-range PCA in Inverell Local Court on Thursday.

The 36-year-old is employed as the Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer with New England Local Area Command, and based in Inverell.

Police were called to a single-car crash just after 10pm on December 11 near Inverell and breath tested Cutmore at the scene.

When he provided a positive sample, he was arrested and charged with high-range drink driving.

Magistrate Michael O’Brien imposed a conviction on Cutmore during the sentencing hearing, last week.

He fined him $500 for the offence and disqualified him from driving for seven months.

Mr O’Brien also backdated the disqualification period to when Cutmore’s licence was suspended in December.
