A man has been charged with more than 200 animal welfare offences after a January 2017 puppy farm raid near Yelarbon, over the state border from Inverell Shire, uncovered more than 80 animals.

RSPCA inspectors and police raided the Glenarbon property, owned by Haris Ljuhar, in January and found a large number of dogs, mainly American Staffordshire bull terriers and Australian, American and French bulldogs.
It will be alleged the conditions of the property were "appalling" - sick dogs were allegedly living in inadequate conditions, including sharing spaces with dead dogs.
Mr Ljuhar, 40, was charged with 215 animal welfare-related offences and is due to appear in Goondiwindi Magistrates Court in May.
Inspectors seized 81 dogs and puppies and 10 cats from the property and transferred them to RSPCA's Queensland headquarters at Wacol, where more than 50 have since been re-homed.
RSPCA Queensland claims the costs incurred were "well over" $100,000.
