A team of 20 gymnasts travelled to Tamworth to compete in the North West regional championships for the Boys Club Inverell.

It was a very successful competition with the coaches pleased with the effort put in by all of the local girls.
Abby Wilson, Madison and Emily Thomson, Abby Blackburn and Chloe Bannerman competed in level one. Abby Wilson took home a gold medal in just her third competition, while Madison, Emily and Abby Blackburn won silver and Chloe achieved a bronze medal.
Chloe Donnelly, Abby Grantham and Chelsea Ledingham competed in level two. Chelsea was the standout achieving a silver medal in her return to gymnastics after 18 months. Chloe and Abby won bronze medals.
Level three was the most represented by the Boys Club with six Inverell girls competing.
Jessica Kastelein put in some outstanding routines to finish with second on vault and bars and third on beam and floor to give her third place overall.
Grace Granham was not far behind with a third place on vault. This was a close scoring level with Arabella Drogemuller, Charlotte Sutton, Layla Ting and Mia Donnelly only narrowly missing out on a place on any apparatus.
Ruby Drogemuller, Sophie Kastelein and Clare Wilkins competed in level four. Ruby put in an exceptional routine on bars to pick up fourth place, while Sophie Best was in sixth place on vault and bars. Clare was in a very large group and earned fifth on beam and floor.
Sharleigh Kingi-Phillips, Chloe Newman and Miranda Hodges are the highest level gymnasts for the Boys Club, competing in level five.
Sharleigh was the best of the Inverell girls in this level, earning a third on vault and bars and a fourth on beam and floor. She was followed closely by Chloe with two fifth places and Miranda, who collected a fourth place on bars.
This was the second competition for some of the girls, as Tamworth hosted a primary games for gymnastics for the first time earlier in April. Abby Wilson,
Chloe Bannerman, Abby Grantham, Layla Ting, Ruby Dunlop, Grace Grantham, Arabella and Ruby Drogemuller, Jessica Kastelein, Sophie Butterworth, Rachael Krauss and Clare Wilkins represented both their club and respective schools with a high level of gymnastics on the day.
