On Sunday, Bundarra hosted Manilla in a must-win game for the home side to turn their season around. They met the challenge with a 38-32 win despite missing players due to injuries and a few poor showings in recent weeks with up to 11 players out at one time this season.

The team started well jumping out to a handy lead. To Manilla's credit they fought back well and the game was in the balance at half time.
Bundarra lead at all stages of the game, but President Tom Taber said he felt that Manilla was slowly gaining the upper hand with 25 minutes to go.
Bundarra fought well to lead by 18 points with 12 minutes to go. Manilla rallied for one final fight back to get within 6 points at the final siren.
The ladies team also did well, tying with Manilla at 10-10. Laura Beard, their coach said she had never been more proud of a team as she was of the girls over the last two weeks. The team stepped up a notch with all the hard work finally starting to pay off. She said that the girls are playing well together and this is showing on the field.
