“I congratulate Chloe and Claire on their selection for the NSW Country under 18s,” Inverell Cricket Association president Steve De Gunst said.
“This reflects their exceptional skill and dedication to cricket. I wish them all the best for their future cricketing careers.”
Both girls have had a stellar start to 2017, representing north west CHS cricket in February. Claire and Chloe both opened the bowling for the north west CHS sides in February in Maitland.
The pair will be off to Sydney for training for the squad in early August.
Claire, a former NSW Cyclones indoor cricketer, has had a good year, with her selection in the NSW CHS second eleven squad after her stand out performance at CHS.
Chloe’s success continued on, winning the under 16 representative player of the year at the Inverell Junior Cricket presentation night.
She also won the most promising player for 2016/17 at the RSM cricket club presentation, and the coach’s award for the under 18s women’s Central North Academy.
The local duo have been training with the Central North Cricket Academy squad in Tamworth over the weekend.
