A fire crew acted quickly to put out a small blaze on the banks of the Macintyre River on Tuesday night, July 25.

The fire crew arrived on the scene of the grass fire in front of a residence near Inverell’s suspension bridge at 5.55pm. Sweeping across the flames with a hose, the fire was put out in just over five minutes.
The cause is currently unknown.
