A MAN remains in a serious condition in hospital with a stab wound to his neck as police piece together a violent brawl that allegedly broke out in an Inverell hotel.

The 45-year-old was of three allegedly attacked after a fight turned physical inside the Empire Hotel in Byron St in the early hours of Saturday morning.
On Monday, investigators spent a third day probing the incident and interviewing witnesses, after two men were charged on Saturday.
Dylan Bradley Sunderland, 23, of Tweed Heads, remains behind bars on charges of reckless wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
He appeared in an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Inverell Local Court on Sunday and was again refused bail.
Police allege Sunderland wounded the 45-year-old man in the neck and they’re investigating reports a knife was used in the confrontation.

The 45-year-old man was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital. He was still in a serious, but stable condition on Monday.
Two other men, 32 and 60, were taken to Inverell hospital with various injuries. Detective Inspector Joy said one of the men was being treated for “suspected facial fractures”.
A 21-year-old Queensland man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
He was granted conditional bail on Saturday to front court in Inverell in October.
Detective Inspector Joy said police had viewed security surveillance of the alleged altercation and spoken to several witnesses.
There is a strong suggestion that there were a number of persons present at the location who would have observed that incident, both from inside and outside the hotel.

“We’re still reviewing a number of portions of CCTV from various sources,” she said.
“Police are certainly still appealing for witnesses to the incident. There is a strong suggestion that there were a number of persons present at the location who would have observed that incident, both from inside and outside the hotel.”
The hotel was contacted but declined to comment.

ONE man has been refused bail and another has been charged in connection to an alleged brawl that broke out in Inverell on the weekend.
Police allege five men became embroiled in a physical fight at a hotel in Byron St at about 1.15am on Saturday.
Police said three men were injured as a result and will allege one was stabbed in the neck during the altercation.
A 45-year-old man was taken to Inverell hospital before he was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital with serious neck injuries.
He remained in hospital on Monday morning.
The 32-year-old man and 60-year-old man were taken to Inverell Hospital with various injuries.
Police said a 21-year-old Queensland man and a 23-year-old Tweed Heads man were arrested and taken to Inverell Police Station.
They were questioned by investigators before the Tweed Heads man was charged with reckless wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
Dylan Bradley Sunderland, 23 of Tweed Heads, was refused bail by police and appeared in an out-of-sessions bail hearing on Sunday morning in Inverell Local Court.
He was again refused bail by the court and will remain in custody until later this week.
The Queensland man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
He was released on conditional bail and will front Inverell Local Court in October.
Police confirmed investigations into the incident are continuing.
