Family members and friends are invited to come along to the open day and see students’ limitless imaginations on display.
They will be greeted by a poem on lizards, a part of the school’s environmental science. The poem came from Faunaverse, written by zoologist Alexander Dudley, who visited the school through a GWYMAC Landcare initiative.
Visitors will have a chance to try out the school’s art program as Ms Purchase runs a tactile and creative play workshop. Other art works including wire creations, samples of water colors, Romero Britto work and paintings about Book Week will be on display.
K1 will present their creative outdoor installation, artworks and book reading; and years 3-6 will give a rhythm display and show off their artworks, including beeswax monograms and autumn leaf art designs.
The musical trio of Mrs Hair, Caleb and Sam will entertain the crowd.
Next will be an Escape to Everywhere display in the library as part of Book Week, a quilting activity with Mrs Eddy and a talk from Mrs Coddington on the school. Questions are welcome.
The P&C will take the opportunity to fundraise, selling raffle tickets on the day. Prizes value over $3000. Morning tea will be available.
