Hard covers, soft covers, fact and fiction – it’s the event to attract readers of all interests when the Rotary Annual Charity Book Sale hits the Masonic Hall at the end of this month.
Turn over an old leaf with rare finds, thrilling adventures, gardening advice, travel tales, cooking recipes, children’s stories and more when second hand books take on new lives as re-discovered treasures.
Local Rotarian Peter Lloyd said despite having a huge number of books available “we won’t knock back any more donations” which can still be dropped off at the Goddard Wool Market.
This year’s event has an early start on Thursday September 28 with a 5pm opening for those about to head out of town for the long weekend. It will then run from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 8.30am to 3pm on Sunday.
Proceeds to go to support Rotary’s youth programs.
