Emergency services were called to the Gwydir Highway, 10km north of Delungra at 1.30pm following reports a car had rolled and crashed into a fence.

Paramedics said on arrival they found a woman in her 70s suffering a back injury.

A man believed to be aged in his 80s had reported neck and chest pain. 

The pair was taken to Inverell Base Hospital for further treatment.

A week ago there was another accident on the Gwydir Highway.
