The child suffered a head laceration in a quad bike accident at Delungra late yesterday afternoon. A 13 year old boy also involved was initially transported by ambulance to Inverell Hospital but was cleared of any further injuries.
The three year old boy was in a stable condition.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked on a primary mission to Inverell Hospital to rendezvous with an ambulance transporting a 13-year-old boy and a three-year-old boy with injuries sustained in a quad bike accident at Delungra.
At this stage both boys appear to have minor injuries but due to the mechanism the helicopter has been called and the medical crew will access them. The younger boy is reported to have lacerations on his head.
Inverell Hospital staff will assess the pair and decide if a hospital transfer is required.
