It is alleged that at about 2.15pm (Wednesday, October 11, 2017), a 46-year-old woman was in her Ford Falcon sedan while her 39-year-old partner was walking down Campbell Lane at Inverell.
It was alleged in court the woman deliberately drove at the man and hit him, with the impact throwing him onto the bonnet before knocking him to the ground.
Furthermore, the woman allegedly put the vehicle into reverse and accelerated heavily towards him. The man was forced to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
It’s further alleged she got out of the car and began assaulting him.
As a result of the incident the man suffered cuts and abrasions to his hands and knees.
