AN ELDERLY man has been rescued with the help of an SES boat after floodwaters cut his property off near Inverell.

The 75-year-old man was rescued on Thursday afternoon by SES crews at Brodies Plains, after heavy rainfall saw him isolated on his property.
He was taken by ambulance to Inverell hospital for treatment for a medical condition.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked but an SES crew managed to access the man using a flood boat.
