Bonnie Bremner of Inverell has been appointed as the girls Senior Prefect, George Lane of ‘Nullamanna Station’ is a prefect and captain of Croft House, Annika Rhoades has been elected as a prefect, and Molly McLachlan is vice captain of the girls’ boarding house Dangar/Moyes.
Bonnie, George and Molly started their schooling together in Kindergarten at Holy Trinity School.
The four students acknowledged the past yet looked to the future at their induction ceremony at the school on October 12, reciting a pledge that dates back more than eight decades. Bonnie is the second girl to be appointed as a senior prefect at the school.
Headmaster Murray Guest said prefect-ship was not a prize for what has already been done already, but a call is to assist the direction of the school in maintaining its standards in all areas, supporting students and inspiring pride in the school through good example.
“Above all, they have been called to join in our most important task – ensuring that every student in this school is able to feel supported and is confident that his or her best efforts will be applauded and never derided,” he said.
Since their time at TAS the four boarders have embraced the life of the school, from cadets to drama and community service to sport.
