Reaching out to families who will struggle to keep up the demands of Christmas, a ute was filled with toys and $1700 in cash raised. The toys were donated to several local businesses, who were proud to participate.
All toys and funds will go towards the local Salvation Army Christmas appeal.
The poker run, which consisted of 56 riders, was a major fundraiser. Organisers were pleased to receive donations on the day, including $155 from the publican of the Wallaroo Hotel at Coolatai.
“A very successful day,” summed up Col Meacham, a longtime supporter of the event.
Starting at Inverell’s Australian Cafe and ending at the Imperial Hotel, the trip was approximately 200km long.
