No sooner did one competition end that another began, from campdrafts and shearing events to dog judging, and from jams to photography.
From fashion parades to fireworks. It really is a well-organised show that has everything and brings the community together.
The doors opened at 7am on Saturday with fireworks at 9pm. And the show is jam-packed with activities on Sunday as well.
Admission is at $7 per car or $3 per person. And takes place at Ashford Showground. For more info visit the show’s site.
Oh, and while on your way to the show, don’t forget to pass by the post office and see the mural by Kelly Jones. If the artist is there, then it is well worth your while to go and say ‘hello’ to the incredible young woman who has popped splashes of colour with her artworks in the region. (Watch this space. A story is soon to come).
And, if you’re there, please send your photos to the Inverell Times, by emailing them to mary.sinanidis@fairfaxmedia.com.au
