It comes after 19 people, mostly local residents, returned from a group trip overseas.
All of them had been in self-isolation after returning home, as the number of virus cases across the state dramatically increases.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall said he was made aware of the case on Friday afternoon from police.

He said another member of the group had also been tested, with the test result due back on Saturday, and the other 17 members of the group will now also be tested.
"NSW Police is in the process of contacting and personally visiting each of the members of the touring group, as part of its formal inquiries, and also to remind them of their self-isolation obligations," Mr Marshall said.
This takes the number of cases within the Northern Tablelands to five.
An Inverell couple who tested positive after returning home from a cruise, while on Thurday it was revealed an Emmaville couple tested positive.
The two people from Emmaville had also been on a cruise.
Mr Marshall said the was a very real chance the number of local cases would rise sharply over the weekend when further test results are known from members of the touring group.
"It's another reminder of how seriously we need to take COVID-19. It is here in our region and we all must do our bit to prevent its further spread," he said.
"Please follow all personal hygiene and social distancing restrictions and avoid crowds and non-essential travel."
The comes into force from Saturday night.
