About the role

GrainCorp is looking for a permanent Rail Coordinator to join our team based out of the Tamworth regional office 3 days a week and 2 days from home. You’ll be part of a team responsible for:

• Assisting the Planning & Delivery, Rail and Operations teams in the most efficient execution of rail orders. 
• Conducting daily validation of rail movements and load optimisation.
• Coordinating the management of any over-loaded wagons.
• Responsible for administering ownership transfers (swaps), updating internal location differential matrices and associated forms in collaboration with Customer & Commercial Demand Planners
• Accountable for assisting inventory reconciliation processes
• Finalise documentation to export/domestic customers for shared services further to AP/AR invoicing process
• Complete close out activities associated with road and rail invoicing or any exceptions/rejections
• Day to day management (in collaboration with C&C planning) of orders, swaps and supporting processes, including swaps matrix and inventory reconciliations
• Successful planning and scheduling of road and rail transport tasks

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has some experience gained within an agricultural or logistics business.  Your technical skill set should include intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and technologies.

We’ll also value your strong communication, time management, customer and stakeholder management skills. You’re okay with a little ambiguity, able to seek guidance and make decisions using sound judgement.

Other key skills we are looking for are: 

• An ability to work within a framework/process with auditing requirements
• A demonstrated level of detail in an administration role
• Someone committed to achieving goals and objectives in a planning environment
