It’s their first official function for the year and all new and old players, as well as sponsors, members and supporters are invited to attend.
The event will give people the opportunity to catch up with Saints players and officials and also have a game of social bowls.
Their 2013 TAFL campaign will officially get underway with their traditional launch night, which will also be held at the RSM Club on March 15, from 6.30pm.
The Saints will host seven homes games this season, with local businesses urged to support them by buying a home game.
Winning bidders will get exclusive use of the viewing deck and upstairs dining area at Varley Oval for 20 people, while watching the Saints in action.
The number one ticket holder will also be auctioned off on the night, which will allow the winner to get a closer look at the team as they prepare themselves on match day.
Games up for auction are round three against Tamworth Kangaroos on Sunday April 28, Tamworth Swans round 5 on May 5, New England Nomads round 7 on June 1, Gunnedah Bulldogs round 9 on June 22, Muswellbrook Cats round 11 on July 6, Kangaroos round 13 on July 20 (Ladies Day) and Swans round 14 on July 27.
The Saints first hit out of the season will be against Muswellbrook in Tamworth on April 13.
There will be some changes to on-field personnel this season, with 2010 premiership player and former vice-captain Justin Pay appointed as the new captain.
Pay replaces Chris Whitton, who expressed his desire to step down from the captaincy role after last year’s grand final loss, but he will continue to play this season.
It’s an exciting year for Whitton away from the field, with his partner Kristy expected to give birth to their first child in a matter of weeks.
Saints coach Jason Gobbert said the appointment of Pay as the new captain was an obvious decision, because he is well respected both on and off the field.
Gobbert said Pay has led by example with his hard attack on the ball and his diligent work as a committee member in recent years.
Last year’s TAFL leading goal scorer Mike Gould has taken on the vice-captaincy role for the upcoming season.
Any new players interesting in playing for the Saints this year are asked to give Jason Gobbert a call on 0428 853 212.
