Armidale-area writer, Bronwyn Parry is reading from her latest book, Storm Clouds, on Friday at The Dust Jacket book shop in Inverell at 6.30pm.
Ms Parry said the plot of this crime thriller, crossed with some romance and suspense is situated in an environment that might seem a little familiar to regional readers.
“I’ve played a little with geography in order to keep the towns and the characters entirely fictional. However the landscapes are inspired by the general area north of Inverell, which I love,” Ms Parry said.
Two of her previous novels won Australian Romance Readers’ awards for best Australian romantic suspense novel, and both were shortlisted for the Romance Writers of America RITA awards, and the Daphne du Maurier Award for romantic suspense.
Dust Jacket owner, Josh McPhee said it was great to have a celebrated writer share time with the Inverell community.
“It’s good to be able to offer best-selling authors. Being in Inverell, you look at it, and it looks like something too far away, or too hard,” he said.
“Whereas being able to bring the people here it just makes everything a bit more real.” The cost for the evening is $30 per person. The night includes dinner, dessert, reading and author talk. Please RSVP by Thursday at noon to The Dust Jacket on 6722 4444 or email mail@thedustjacket.com.au.
