Former local resident, Darren (DJ) Konz recently graduated with a PhD in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

Mr Konz, his wife Louise, and their two daughters lived in Scotland for three years while he was conducting his doctoral research on theological understandings of children.
“The University of Aberdeen is one of the UK’s oldest universities, having been founded in 1495,” Mr Konz says.
“It was a wonderful experience and a great privilege to undertake research in one of the world’s most historic and reputable theological faculties.”
Mr. Konz and his family travelled back to Scotland last month for his graduation ceremony.
Darren is now working as an academic and theological educator in Melbourne.
