Inverell Equestrian Council hosts first local Cowboy Dressage event

Cowboy Dressage World Australia rode into Inverell for its first ever event last weekend, September 2-3.

Damien Hall was host to all of the entrants, with a judge flown in from the Victorian organisation. With 79 ‘runs’ scheduled, it was a sight to behold.  Everyone was dressed up and ready to ride.

With support from Baker’s Barn and Danny Fitzpatrick with Magna Wave, the grounds were hopping with people and horses were ready to go in their western gear.

The Inverell Equestrian Council opened the canteen for hot lunch on Saturday with snacks and a hot breakfast on Sunday with a cold lunch and snacks.

The weather was beautiful for both days with just a touch of a breeze on Sunday to keep everyone on their toes.

The Inverell Equestrian Council invites locals to join them again next year for the Cowboy Dressage and reminds horse lovers not to miss out on the western training days that are held on the last Sunday of each month.
