These include 99 rifles, 20 shotguns, nine pistols and two replica pistols.
Acting Inspector Ross Chilcott said police were “very happy” with the response, and are encouraging anyone whom still has any firearms they wish to hand in to do so by Saturday. The amnesty allows anyone with unwanted and unregistered firearms or firearm-related items, to legally dispose of or register them at approved drop-off points.
