Police are appealing for assistance from the public to find a prisoner who has escaped from a correctional centre in Glen Innes.

New England police said 27-year-old Blake Levi was last seen at the Glen Innes Correctional Centre about 2.45pm yesterday on Tuesdya but was noticed missing just after 5pm.
A search of the centre and surrounding grounds failed to find the man and police are now appealing for public assistance.
Levi is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 170cm tall with a medium build, and short brown hair.
It is unknown what he was wearing at the time.
Police are warning members of the public NOT to approach the man but instead call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
