This club is about acknowledging the importance of reading to children before they start school. To be eligible to attend the parties, children had to complete a badge by having 110 books read to them during the year.
This year 83 children signed up to the Little Gems Reading Club with 105 badges awarded and more than 11,000 books being read.
The theme for the parties was fairytale and there were many princesses, superheroes, fairies, witches, Paw Patrol characters, an elf on the shelf, a cricketer, a paper bag monster and a pumpkin that had a great time creating their own fairytale story before receiving a gift generously donated by the Friends of the Library.
