The Inverell jockey rode three winners for three different Inverell trainers including the Inverell Bearing Centre Goodwood Cup on Victory Lass for trainer Todd Payne.
Edmonds wasn’t far from making it five from five, either, with two second placings on Wayne Oakenfull horses.
The hoop’s winning ways kicked off with Onemore For Wilson who was having its first start for Oakenfull after previously being trained at Scone by Brett Cavanough.
The gelding appreciated a big drop in class from a $30,000 showcase race to a non-TAB maiden to claim a huge nine-length win.
In the Goodwood Cup, Edmonds and Victory Lass led all the way to win by two and half lengths.
With three wins from fives starts at Inverell, Victory Lass will return on New Year’s Day to try to win the Bush Battlers Cup which is restricted to horses that have raced at the one day club community meetings.
Another easy win followed for Edmonds on Punton Bernardini for Scott Dixon.
The mare came from last, weaved her way through the field to win by two and a half lengths
The races were bought forward on the day to avoid a large hail storm that was threatening.
However, the storm held off until 6pm when the course was hit with hail and torrential rain but the band kept playing for the crowd.
Final acceptances for the record nine-event card on New Year’s Day at Inverell close on Thursday, December 28.
