Daniel Avenell replaces outgoing and popular curate Nick Stone, who has moved to Boggabri to serve as the vicar of that parish.
Daniel and his wife Jenni have been married since 1980 and are now the parents of five children and seven grand children.
As well as growing children they have also grown crops and cattle before moving to Rockhampton where Daniel taught agricultural science for 21 years.
In 2009, Daniel and Jenni studied at Queensland Theological College and started their ministry in the Boggabilla parish in 2012, and Moree Parish in 2016.
Jenni loves reading, vegetable growing and craft when she finds the time, and especially loves reading and studying the bible with other ladies.
Daniel likes reading also (mainly theology) and loves being a teacher of God’s word.
In 2017 Daniel and Jenni moved to Brisbane to care for aged parents. The season for that is now passed.
The couple they look forward to serving God’s church and promoting God’s kingdom again in the Armidale Diocese.
