Julie Emerson of Inverell and District Family Day Care, Inverell has been nominated in this year’s Australian Early Education and Care Awards in the Early Childhood Educator of the Year category.
The awards celebrate the leaders and services in Australian communities that are committed to the growth and development of those in their care, the Australian Early Education & Care Awards accepts nominations from family, friends, colleagues and parents which children in care. Nominations are accepted across all private and community program types including long day care, family day care, occasional care, preschool, early learning centres and school age groups and is open to all levels of experience and qualification.
Nominations are open until March 11 and finalists will be announced on April 19, 2018. State winners are to be announced on May 23 and National Winners are announced on June 15. Over $85,000 in prizes including more than $40,000 in training and professional development grants are on offer.
