Inverell Cricket Association will be represented on Sunday when their side plays Narrabri for the prestigious War Veterans Cup.

The side reached the Final after a consistent season and a last match thrilling win against Gunnedah. The team will be captained by Michael Kenny with the side containing a blend of experience and some promising young local cricketers.
The cup was first played way back in 1947 and Inverell have won the title on nine occasions. Their most recent success with back-to-back titles was in 2002 and 2003.
Fine cricketers to captain the side over the years include John Henderson, Bob Cameron, Damien Smith, Ross Scott, Eric Higgins and Dave Mudaliar.
The team will travel to Narrabri knowing the sporting public, and indeed the Sapphire City will be wishing them good luck in the encounter.
