A Gilgai, she says, that had events for families on a regular basis, where fun was had by all. Events where local wares were on display and purchases made to support local business.
“So my children can have the chance to experience the close knit community that I had the privilege to,” Tessa said.
Tessa is well on her way to that goal, organising her first event alongside the Gilgai Hall Trust Sub-committee and the Inverell Shire Council.
The Big Screen Movie event will be held on March 10 from 6pm. There will be market stalls, face painting, a jumping castle, popcorn and a barbecue hosted by the Gilgai P and C.
Tessa has worked with the sub-committee to plan a series of family based events at the village every few months throughout 2018.
Markets will be held at each of these events.
