Senior league tag, Tingha Cubs, took to the field first and played hard to hold the Armidale Rams out.
The final minutes saw Armidale sneak over the line to score the only try of the game, giving Armidale a six point win.
A grade were very keen to take the field and played what was a very tightly fought contest.
The lead changed hands a number of times throughout the game with the Rams scoring the winning try with only minutes remaining to take the final score to 28-24.
Tingha’s hooker, Callum Woodbury, played a strong game, taking home three coaches points and the players’ player points for the home side.
The Tingha Cub's player's player points were awarded to Monique Vickery.
Armidale had to forfeit in their juniors.
Tingha will now prepare for the next round against the Inverell Hawks.
