The Gordon Creighton Cup was handed over to joint winners Tingha Minor Rugby League and Glen Innes Minor Rugby League as the most successful clubs on the day.
“The day was a great success, the sun finally shone and the day ran like clockwork,” said Glen Innes Minor rugby league’s president Adrian Bruce.
“Of course none of it could have been possible without the amazing referees, the hard working committee and volunteers.
“We had just over 40 volunteers help on the day organising the five fields, timing, ground managing, first aid officers and in the canteen, I can’t thank them enough.
“At the end of the day, the Gordon Creighton Cup is all about kids on the field playing footy, just like Gordon would have wanted, and that was what we saw.
“Our committee tries really hard to ensure the day is run in the manner that Gordon would have wanted and we are proud to be able to do that.”
