Police will now allege the 53-year-old sexually or indecently abused seven young girls, aged under 16 at the time, in the Inverell area over a decade-long period.
The man cannot be identified to protect the identity of the seven alleged victims, but the offences are alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2012.
Child Abuse Squad detectives were in Inverell Local Court on Thursday morning and laid three new charges against the man.
The accused, who remains bail refused in custody, did not appear via video link in court.
The court heard he was facing charges of indecent assault with a victim under the age of 10, indecent assault of a person under 16 and inciting a victim under 10 years to commit an indecent act.
Detectives will allege the fresh charges relate to incidents in the Inverell area in 2008.

The court was told the man now faces a total of 43 charges and is yet to enter a plea, but solicitor Nuerelle Lyon said he intended to plead not guilty to all matters.
Much of the detail surrounding the charges cannot be reported for legal reasons.
A section 91/93 application was made in court which could see witnesses or alleged victims called to give evidence in the local court at a committal hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence to commit the charges to the district court.
Magistrate Michael Daikin adjourned all but the fresh charges to early-June when the 91/93 application will be considered.
Mr Daikin also ordered investigators to compile a brief of evidence in relation to the fresh charges and serve it on the defence team in June.
The man, who has been in custody since his bail was revoked in September, last year, made no application for bail and it was formally refused.
A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed investigations into the matter were continuing by detectives from the Child Abuse Squad in Tamworth.
The spokesperson said investigators would encourage anyone with information on the alleged offences to come forward, or who may have been a victim of historical sexual abuse.
The spokesperson said police would investigate all reports of abuse, no matter how long ago they occurred.
