Another Anzac Day march is upon us as we prepare to commemorate, honour, respect and thank the service men and women who fought for and are still fighting for our freedom and the Australian way of life. It is time to look back to the past and draw inspiration from it.

This year, the march has been shortened by half. It will start from Oliver Street at 10.30am, just outside Gaukrogers Motors. From Oliver Street, the March will turn right into Vivian Street, turn into Byron Street and Laurence Street before concluding at the cenotaph at the corner of Lawrence and Evans streets.
It will not include the recently revamped Otho Street.

The decision for the shortened March was made by the Inverell RSL Sub Branch to accommodate the elderly veterans and is believed to be better suited for ageing veterans.
