Inverell police are looking for the owner of eight items of women’s jewellery seized in mid-March.

Among the items recovered are five rings with precious stones and an engraved wedding band, a silver chain, a pendant with an inscription and a brooch with stones. The items look like family heirlooms that would be worn by a mature woman.

Police are still seeking the owner of a quantity of tools which were handed into the Inverell Police Station. The tools were seen falling off the rear of a white Nissan Navara ute on the Ring Street bridge at 2.30pm on Tuesday, April 24.
