Holy Trinity has continued their winning stance in the Bill Turner Cup after defeating Inverell High School on Monday.

In the preliminary round, Holy Trinity faced Macintyre High and absolutely thrashed them with the final score being 7-0.
Cooler conditions greeted the two local teams on Monday as they took the field at Inverell High School.
It was a very close first half as both teams managed to put a point each on the score board.

As both Holy Trinity and Inverell High fought for possession of the ball, it was unclear who would triumph before the half time bell rang.
However, fitness prevailed in the second half has Holy Trinity fought back and managed to score another two goals before full time.
The final score for the day was 3-1 to Holy Trinity.
Bill Turner Cup and Trophy is one of the world’s largest team sport competitions. Around 800 school teams from NSW, Qld, ACT and Victoria participate each year, with all players 15 years and under.
The comp is a knockout format with early round matches starting in term one. Bill Turner valued fitness, fun and fair-play and the competition pays tribute to these values.
The Bill Turner Cup (open) is in its 40th year. The Bill Turner Trophy (girls) is in its 28th year.
