“It was a good success all round,” service manager Lisa Szumowski said. The event was held in conjunction with National Family Day Care Week.
Covered in colourful face paints courtesy of Kay Riley, the children kept warm indoors, watching the animated film Ferdinand and trying out various arts and crafts.
“We actually had quite a number of parents perched up, watching the movie and their children went off to have a play and they were still watching the movie,” Ms Szumowski said.
“They said it was more the warmer area, but I think they were watching the movie!”
Gas heaters, filled with bottles donated by Macintyre Gas, made the evening air more bearable for those exploring the market stalls. Popcorn, children’s clothes, jewellery and designer candles were all on sale, with plenty of options for last minute Mother’s Day gifts.
The organisation began the transition to their new name, which will be Grow Family Day Care.
