Best known for competing in the V8 Supercar Championship series, Jamie is the ‘all-time’ champ with seven titles to his name. Last year he earned his 106th victory at Sydney Motorsport Park. He is a four-time Bathurst 1000 winner and the 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour champion.
Visiting the local store on Oliver Street from 4pm on Thursday, May 24, Jamie will meet locals and sign autographs throughout the afternoon.
“We are really excited to welcome such an exciting celebrity to the Inverell community,” Bunnings Inverell complex manager Anthony Rushby said.
An event designed for the whole family, there will also be a jumping castle to entertain the little ones and a barbecue hosted by the local Rotary Club to raise funds for the MS Foundation. There will also be a raffle and a lucky door prize.
“It’s a great opportunity for locals to come down and enjoy an afternoon with friends and family,” Mr Rushby said.
“There will be food and entertainment as well as supplier demonstrations for customers to learn some handy tips and tricks when it comes to using tools.”
The Inverell Holden Club will also be attending, bringing along eight of their best cars for customers to view, and up to nine local suppliers will conduct trade demos.
