The festivities are a major fundraiser for the local branch.
“There’s going to be lots of activities. We’ve got a kids corner (in) which we’re going to have some fun and games, some face painting,” leader Leah-Rose Hart said.
“We’ve got the white elephant stall, which has all different gifts and lots of treasures that you can try and find. We’ve got a craft stall which has handmade crafts from a few of our community members as well as some of our leaders.”
Leah-Rose will be front and centre, entertaining attendees as a clown.
“I’m going to attempt to make balloon animals!” she said.
There will be a barbecue, games for children, raffles and a plant stall.
Leah-Rose, who became a leader at the beginning of the year, said she adores Girl Guides.
“My favourite thing would be watching the girls achieve their goals and receive their badges,” she said.
The fete will be held at Guide Park on Campbell Street from 10am on Saturday, June 16.
