The Red Alert on Copeton Dam has been reduced to an Amber Alert.
Algae concentrations have reduced. Macintyre at Lake Inverell is now on Amber Alert. Macintyre River at Inverell has now on Green alert.
Macintyre River at Boggabilla Weir remains on Amber Alert. Water users below the weir should apply caution.
Namoi River at Walgett is Now on Green Alert. Malpas Split Rock, Chaffey, Keepit and Pindari Dams are on Green alert.
Manilla River downstream Split Rock also on Green Alert. Algae concentrations in most areas of the Barwon appear to be reducing.
Hopefully the cooler night time temperatures will assist in reducing algae concentration further. Water users in the Barwon Region still should be vigilant as algae production can occur quickly.
