Expressions of interest are sought by people who were influenced by the great artist, who have any of his works or who have experiences that they would be able to document are invited to help the gallery organise the exhibition.
“He didn’t come to Texas, but he went to Inverell, Bingara, Moree, Warialda and we would really like people from these areas to help us organise our display,” says Barbara Coventry.
In the Seventies, Mervyn Moriarty’s flew light aircraft around the region, bringing art and colour to the most remote parts of Australia with his Flying Art School.
