Westpac Rescue Helicopter transfers Delungra man

Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to Inverell Hospital this morning, Tuesday, July 10.

The helicopter met with a paramedic ambulance, which was transporting a 46-year-old man from Delungra.

It was reported that the man had a fall from machinery. He was suffering from chest injuries. The helicopter flew the man to Tamworth Base Hospital, where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

On Saturday, July 7, the helicopter transported an injured footballer from Inverell to Tamworth after he suffered possible head injuries in a heavy tackle.

The New England and North West Westpac Rescue Helicopter service has been kept busy this year, with 25 flights to the area last month. This included nine primary accidents and 16 inter-hospital transfers.
