Teams from as far away as Tamworth, Inverell and Walcha gathered at the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club for two days of action-packed competition.
More than $3000 worth of prizemoney was up for grabs at the event.
Inverell’s Rod Blair came out on top in the men’s singles competition with Armidale’s Matt Cherry and Tamworth’s Andrew Bowden snapping at his heels in second and third place, respectively.
In the ladies competition, Gunnedah’s Sandy Aldridge came out on top ahead of Tamworth’s Jen Bowden and fellow club member Bec Beasley in second and third.

Gunnedah Men’s Dart League member John Campbell said the inaugural competition was very enjoyable.
“It was a great competition,” Campbell said.
“It was played in really a good spirit throughout and it was so good to see players come from right around the region to get involved.
“As this was our first tournament we had a couple of things that needed addressing, but with help from our counterparts from other leagues we were able to run through smoothly and have the experience to call on for next year.”
Campbell said the standard of competition was very high throughout the event.
“There were 10 180s thrown and the highest peg out that we are aware of was Matt Cherry’s 143,” he said.
“We can’t thank our sponsors and the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club enough for their support in getting this event together.”
