Todd Payne won the point score premiership run by Inverell Jockey Club with points allocated for wins and runners in NSW races.
Payne won 10 races for the year, highlighted by the four wins by Battlers Cup winner Victory Lass.
One race that got away on the stable was on Ramornie day at the big Grafton carnival in July.
This year the Battlers Cup, for horses that have participated in the local one day race club meetings, will become the $20,000 feature in Diggers Cup day on November 24.
Luke Berger finished the season with a rush, winning five races in the last two months to end the season with 10 wins, including three to the improving Harbour Trick, who also won over the Inverell Cup carnival.
Wayne Oakenfull had seven wins for the season with seven different horses.
That would have to be a record, but leaves the stable desperately keen to find a horse that can progress through its classes.
Dean Smith also had seven wins led by Devlann.
The horse is bred and raced by Dean’s mother Patti and won four races during the year.
Dual Inverell Cup winner Shane Edmonds had five wins during the season.
