And the tradition lives on again this year as the Regional Australia Bank Sapphire City Festival Committee calls for eligible young ladies to take part in this year’s Queen and Princess Quest.
The role has never been for the fainthearted, as it requires a proactive nature and a genuine interest in helping the community. And as times move on the role just gets more interesting, as Queens and Princesses can really bring about change and be a positive influence on the lives of others.

Chair of the Committee, Mr Paul Harmon says “It is a wonderful opportunity for young ladies to meet new people and not only have fun, but gain new skills as a result”.
“The Festival has been blessed over the years, that without exception, we have attracted people of an extremely high calibre who have gone on to be wonderful ambassadors for Inverell and the Shire,” Mr Harmon said.
Entrants will be required to attend some events for judging and create a float for the parade.
