A service will be held at the Vietnam Memorial, at the corner of the Inverell RSM Club (facing the Lawrence and Evans St roundabout) from 5pm.
All Inverell RSL Sub Branch members are encouraged to attend wearing medals. All members of the Inverell and district community are invited to attend to pay their respects.
A short ceremony to commemorate the Victory in the Pacific will be held at the Inverell Cenotaph/War Memorial at the conclusion of the Vietnam Veterans Service. The Victory in the Pacific was the day imperial Japan surrendered in World War II, effectively bringing the war to an end. Again, the whole community is encouraged to attend.
