The club welcomed 10 new swimmers as well as many of their regulars to a casual meet on Tuesday. “It went well,” coach Jack Butler said.
He led the youngsters through three different strokes in 25 metre and 50 metre sets.
He encouraged Inverell youth to consider coming along to the next come and try night next Tuesday, September 25 from 5.30pm.
“There’s no limit on ability,” he said.
“If you’re not a strong swimmer, come along to one and see how you go.”
The club ranges from ages 6-17, with the majority of swimmers between nine and 12 years old. Many members join to improve their competitive advantage, and also come along to squad nights in order to compete in area level competitions. However the club is also open to those who simply want to have fun training in the pool.
