Tim was delighted with the high calibre of the 25 performers who auditioned for the show on Tuesday evening.
“We’ve got a lot of new talent,” he said.
Several soloists, duets, a poet and a pianist all took to the Inverell Town Hall stage for their chance to perform in front of a packed crowd next Friday, October 26. Some singer/songwriters performed their own music to the judges, who chose 20 performers for the big night.
“It should be a good night again,” Tim said. He was excited to see the return of former winner Ashleigh Campbell, who he said had “no doubt improved” upon her already impressive vocals after studying music at university for two years.
Peter Caddey, Chris and Jasmine Richter will also be featured as guest performers. Two judges from Grafton and Tamworth will have the difficult job of selecting the winners.
Inverell’s Got Talent is on Friday, October 26 at the Inverell Town Hall from 7pm.
Tickets are available online through www.trybooking.com/420448 or at the Tourist Information Centre. The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for secondary students and $5 for anyone younger.
The program for the night should be on the Inverell East Rotary website early next week.
