Shoppers to the Central Arcade can’t resist tinkling the ivories of the public piano across from the IGA. The words “PLAY ME” invite passers-by to play a tune and bring a little music into their lives. The Inverell Music Centre gave a sample of the joy music brings and entertained the crowds on Sunday, and the Women’s Choir will be back again at 4pm on October 28.

The initiative is part of a world-wide movement that has been going on for many years, but is happening in Inverell for the first time.
“We just want to promote music in Inverell,” said Barbara Wigg, who accompanied the men’s choir of the Inverell Music Centre on Sunday.
