Noah took a great catch, followed by William bowling middle stump which put him close to a hat trick on his third game. Henry B was top score with some heavy hitting including the first six of the season.
In the Staggy vs Square and Compass U12s match numbers were down however the level of commitment was up.
Evan under his new contract assisted the side with handy runs including two fours. George remained unbeaten at the end of the innings. Great efforts came from S&C’s bowlers with Fergus bagging two wickets.
In the changeover, John missed out on his first four with the bat by a matter of millimetres. Evan bagged a wicket and Zac was extremely efficient in keeping the runs down during his spell bowling. Staggy took the win and Howie won the match ball.
In the Campbell & Freebairn vs RSM match, C&F got off to a flyer courtesy of Connor and Myles. Leo, Henry, Rocky and Annalisa all managed to retire with a sensational four through mid-wicket coming off Annalisa’s bat. Harley took two wickets for RSM and Jack J executed an excellent run-out to a manageable run chase.
RSM took to task and Ryan and Matt added some handy runs, as well as Harley who retired with an innings including two fours. Tom helped finish off the side’s innings however they could not amass the runs.
Corey’s work in the field and with the ball was a great asset, as was Harley’s overs including a wicket. Match ball went to Harley Tickle.
